AUTHORITY ON PEACHTREE CITY BUDGETS, ERIC IMKER, ENDORSES STEVE BROWN AND JAMES CLIFTON:
Former Peachtree City Councilman Eric Imker placed his enthusiastic support behind candidates Steve Brown and James Clifton, saying, “Many of us are deeply concerned about the direction Peachtree City has taken under Mayor Kim Learnard’s leadership over the past four years. Once a model for successful planned communities nationwide, our city’s foundational vision has been increasingly sidelined.” Both Mayor Learnard and Candidate Steve Brown have extolled Imker as someone with a high degree of skill and knowledge on municipal budgeting.

REAL TRAFFIC CONGESTION IMPROVEMENT:
Peachtree City Mayor Steve Brown built the Highway 74 Task Force in 2004, a coalition of three counties, six cities, and the South Fulton Community Improvement District, to begin the process of a new reengineered interchange at Highway 74 & Interstate 85. Even though the interchange is in Fulton County, much of the drive-time traffic comes from Fayette County, so Brown led the way. As Fayette Commission Chairman, Brown secured the $81 million I-85 and SR 74/Senoia Road Interchange Improvement Project. The interchange redesign is expected to alleviate congestion, streamline access to business districts, and improve overall mobility.

Just how much disdain does Mayor Kim Learnard have for the citizens of Peachtree City? This much:

The Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) plan was a bold effort to upend all of our careful planning of the past. It was a massive urbanization attempt by Mayor Learnard’s political ally, former Mayor Vanessa Fleisch. Kim Learnard attended those meetings and never uttered a single word in opposition, knowing that she would soon run for mayor. Over 6,000 citizens have read and agree with this piece, and Steve Brown led the effort to defeat the LCI.

EMPOWERING STUDENTS: How Fayette County Board of Commissioners Chairman Steve Brown taught his Starr’s Mill High School interns how to finally win golf cart access to the Starr’s Mill campus. Steve got golf cart access to McIntosh High School 20 years prior.

When Mayor Learnard misbehaved, City Manager Robert Curnow later quit. Trying to pull the wool over the eyes of two brand new council members.
Misleading Council Members, violating state law, rigging the SPLOST list, changing ordinances to urbanize the city, and backdoor meetings to evade the citizens. Stop the corruption.

WE GOT LIES ON ACROSS THE BOARD ON PAY RAISES, BENEFIT INCREASES, BONUSES, AND PENSION INCREASES: Mayor Learnard literally tells the news media that massive increases in spending will occur without increasing taxes. The mayor told the reporter on the scene, “The city says no taxes will be raised to pay for it all.” Of course, the mayor raised taxes! She has raised taxes every year.

Our current mayor silences her colleagues while she gets a taxpayer-funded internet show. You cannot make this stuff up.

NOT TELLING THE TRUTH: Mayor Kim Learnard insists the Aberdeen Village Center condominiums she approved will only be 12 units. But a report from city staff says the owners “may seek to redevelop the other building on the site in a similar fashion in the future.” Nothing is stopping the owners from coming to the city, asking for more condominium units in the parking areas and wooded island where the outdoor market is held. Learnard’s vote was necessary to approve the multi-family housing and retail complex. Unfortunately, Learnard had received an in-kind campaign fundraising donation from the shopping center owners and intentionally did not disclose the matter nor recuse herself from voting.
Just how much disdain does Mayor Learnard have for the citizens of Peachtree City? This much: Mayor Kim Learnard has done everything possible to silence the citizens of Peachtree City. We don't want a dictator. Here is one of the multiple examples:
